The Continental Societies, Inc.® National Combined Charity Fund

Each year, the Continental Societies, Inc.® presents 20% of the National Combined Charity Fund to another national organization serving children. The recipient is determined by mutual consent of the Executive Committee and the National Conclave hosting chapter.

In addition, Continental Societies, Inc.® allocates 80% of the National Combined Charities Fund to our Scholarship Program. Scholarships are awarded during the annual Conclave Awards Luncheon to a graduating high school senior in each of the four regions of Continental Societies, Inc.® . One non-renewable award is presented to each of the four regional winners.

In addition to the regional winners, one renewable award is presented to a national winner. This award is renewable for three years, provided the winner fulfills the renewal criteria.

ANNUAL "SHOES AND SOCKS PLUS" NATIONAL INITIATIVE
The “Shoes and Socks Plus for the Journey” national initiative is an annual outreach project founded by the Past National Presidents Advisory Council (PNPAC) to address some of the basic needs of underserved children and youth. The activity quickly grew into an annual opportunity for all Continentals and supporters to make a tangible visible impact on children in the community where the Continental Societies, Inc.® Conclave is held. Each Continental is asked to donate new shoes, socks and underwear or make a monetary contribution for underserved children and youth. All items and monies collected are distributed at the Conclave to an agency or organization in the local area of the Conclave Co-Host Chapter that also addresses the needs of underserved children and youth.
