State of the Continental Societies, Inc.

The Continental Societies, Incorporated is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization consisting of local chapters in 17 states, the District of Columbia and Bermuda. Chapters are pledged to conduct activities and projects in their localities to improve the quality of life for children.

Chapter programs are in accord with the Continental Societies’ national programmatic thrust: HEER (Health, Education, Employment and Recreation) plus Arts and Humanities. Under the mandate of the national organization, chapters focus programs on the areas of literacy, asthma and childhood obesity.

All programs and projects are financed by member donations, benefits given annually, in addition to grants and corporate sponsored donations. In the past 5 years, Continentals Societies, Inc. has served over 1 million children and youth. Dynamic leadership and membership committed to serve and make a difference has enabled the Continental Societies, Inc. to gain national and international recognition as one of the foremost leaders in improving the quality of life for children.

Annually, the chapters convene at Conclave to examine the state of the Societies; to review, expand and initiate programs; to review their faith in one another; and to rededicate their efforts to meet the challenges that lie ahead as they work to meet their goal of providing each and every child a chance for self-realization.
