Greetings: First, I thank my Continental Sisters. Thank you for serving more than 192,500 children across the country and in Bermuda with handson service programs supporting health, education, employment, recreation, and the arts and humanities. Thank you for providing more than 104,000 hours working for and with children. Thank you for spending almost a half a million dollars on our Continental Kids. Thank you for making a positive difference! |

Secondly, I thank our Continental Guys. Thank you for being there personally to support our efforts in planning and providing quality programs to our children. Thank you for providing financial support for our service programs and annual meetings. Thank you for participating in many of our service projects and providing that essential male image needed by so many of our children. Please know that we could not provide quality programs without you. Thirdly, thanks to our corporate partner, Colgate-Palmolive Company, for all that you do for the Continentals and for our Continental Kids. Thank you for the Bright Smiles Bright Futures Program. With the Colgate Bright Smiles Bright Futures van, Continentals provided dental screenings for thousands of children last year. Together we make quite a team and our children’s smiles are reflective of their gratitude. Fourthly, thanks to our sponsors: Coca-Cola Company, Montgomery Mechanical, DTM Corporation, The Honorable Alexis Herman, Davis Brothers Construction, Educational Dimensions, Inc. and GS Proctor and Associates for supporting our 2009 Conclave. Your financial support allowed us to plan for improved programs and sound fiscal management. Thanks for your commitment to excellence. Thanks to all Continental supporters for your financial contributions on the national and local levels. You make our service possible – please know that we are grateful. And finally, to all women of good character who want to serve children, I invite you to become Continentals. Please consider joining an existing chapter or starting a chapter in your hometown. We are especially interested in expanding our services in the Midwest, Southwest, and Western United States and begin service in the Caribbean. Please contact us for more information. 2009-2010 will prove to be a banner year for Continental service. Needy children across the country are depending on us to be there for them – let’s increase our budgets, our service hours, and our commitment to serve – our children deserve no less. Sincerely, |
